The Evening Light

Released Fall 2011, this is the latest collection of songs from Ian. From the opening verses of “Sparrow” (“The evening light competes with the driving rain on Gower Street/our faces and our feet align/the weather is our state of mind”) to a love story in the oldest district of one of Canada’s famous cities (“Hochelaga, Montreal”) to a curious narrative tale that competes for the hardest title to fit on the back of a CD case (“A Large Crowd Gathers for the Deceased Jeff Elliot’s Encore Performance”), this is a record full of imagination and stories.
